Default Best RC Magz ?

Hi

I would like to know what in your opinion is the best RC airplanes magazine. That is informative, has alot of tutorials and HOW-TO's espicially for beginners ..

And it must have an Online subscription for Inter. orders..

I have seen RCME and RC World (both British) here and some book stores .. what do you think about it ??

RC Report is my favorite mag, but not for the stuff you're looking for. (I don't believe RCReport is online yet.) Radio Control Modeler might come closer to filling the "online subscription", and for beginners, the AMA magazine.

I'm a bit prejudiced...but RCM (http://www.rcmmagazine.com/e/env/000...nk=/index.html) has a new column devoted just for the novice (Beginners' Bench).

Model Aviation (don't know about subscriptions) also has a column (and a very good one!) also devoted for beginners.

If you're a beginner, MA does have a pretty decent series of beginners articles running right now, it's a long term project. Otherwise, R/C Report is the way to go! They may not have the high caliber photography of MAN and RCM, but it's all about the content!!

Default Best RC Magz ?

Here is the order of mags I enjoy:

RC Modeler - good construction atricles - not for the ARF crowd
Flying Models - lots of things not jsut RC
Model Aviation - better than most will admit
RC Report - OK but not great

Those that are a waste of time:
Model Airplane News - mostly advertising - even many of the articles
RC Excellence - Very narrow - lots of irrelevant advertising

I'm dropping the last two when the subscription runs out.

I also like Stunt News the U-Control mag from PAMPA - and I'm an RC Nut but started in US in the 40s!!!!

Another vote for RCReport.

I also get MAN. Takes ~10 minutes to read through each issue...

Default RC Mag choice: RCM only for me

Hi All;

Greetins to Everyone from the 'Oven.'

After a lilfetime in the model airplane hobby in general, + being involved in RC since '69; and being a subscriber to MAN, AAM-MA, FM for 40+ yrs, MB and RCM since their inceptions + RC Report, I made a big decision this year....I dropped ALL mag subscriptions with the exception of RCM, as I feel it is the best one of all, and Yes, I still get the AMA's MA, as it obligatory I guess. I lamented on dropping FM as it covers every aspect of the hobby, but is simply too expensive. I now occasionally purchase the English and Austrailian mags, based on a particular article or topic, they are great mags. I have every single mag purchased or rec'd over the past 40 + yrs in my archives, and feel the mags of the 60's and 70's were the best of all, and have denigrated greatly since, hence, I buy them not.

Again, just my own opinion, best regards to All from the sunny and real hot 'Valley of the Sun',

Joe Nagy.

Default RC Report

Not the most flashy, but the best in content. Honest reviews, knowledgeable columnists, and a touch of humor. I see I'm not alone in thinking it's the best.
