Default Ripped off

I recently answered an ad in RCU from a guy that had parts for plan I had crashed. He said he would send me the parts for $15...I sent him a check and never received the parts. He is no longer listed as a member. Right, it isn't a great deal of money, but it is the principle of the matter. Anyone have a suggestion. Thanks, Looper

I assume you have a name, address, and cancelled check. Call the police and file theft charges.

You can also contact the Postal Service and file mail fraud charges.  I hear they take that rather seriously.

Mail fraud is a Federal offense. I would send this modeler a "friendly" letter asking him if he just got busy and totally forgot, death in the family, etc. and wait for an answer. If nothing, then take drastic measures. Sometimes I'm too much of a purist, but I take everyone at face value till they prove otherwise. Just my two pennies.

You should also notify RCU moderator JWN about this issue. He can take actions that would help prevent the seller from coming back and doing it again. Thanks Dave
