Pictures of new runway at Mt. Moriah R/C Airport
 

We broke ground and started work on the runway and road bed at the new Mt. Moriah R/C club and airport. All of the dirt work on the runway is done and is now ready for the finish work and planting of grass. The weather was too nice to pass up so I took off and got a few shots of the work. I'm assuming the runway faces EW and the pits are on the south side of the runway...

Actually the runway is NS and the pits are on the East side. The prevailing breeze is NS. Also to the west there is nothing but farms and open land for miles.

We are getting ours repaved on Saturday for something like $35-40,000!
