Default carbon fiber canopy

Well, after picking up one of these bobcat 50 jets, I unpacked it to find out the canopy was wrong color and cracked, of course nitro planes never has anything in stock and the original canopy was to brittle to repair so i made my own out of some carbon fiber cloth I picked up a few years ago, I painted the original canopy black then layed the cloth over it. when the resin hardened I just peeled the brittle canopy out of the back of the cloth. The cloth still retained some flexibility. I converted this plane to a 6 s electric setup so I needed something that would hold up to the constant removal to access batteries.

Default RE: carbon fiber canopy

Hello.
That canopy is fine and will be super strong.
But if you want a smooth, glossy outer surface on the canopy, then you should treat the INSIDE of the original canopy with release wax and lay up the carbon on the INSIDE of the original.
