Default Skin hinging material

Hi there,
My name is Manish Borikar from India.
In my next project i have decided to do skin hinging but i didn't have any idea of good stuff for hinging.
Please tell me which the material can be used in skin hinging & where we got it?
What is this nylon hinge cloth is? stuff used by www.compositearf.com for skin hinging. Where we got this kind of stuff?
What is peel ply is & where to get it?
Can kevlar be used in hinging?
Please help with replies.

Looking at the "compositearf" site I would stay away from them. They look like a bunch of con artists selling anything for a quick dollar.

Go here. This company has alll of the composite material we use and will answer all of your questions.

Kevlar works really well. I've also heard of people using peel-ply to hinge projects.

And yeah, check out ACP. Lots of good stuff and great folks too.

I believe you are talking about www.composite-arf.com - They are a great company and I fly their Flash which uses the hinge skins you are speaking of. I don't believe you can get them from their site, but let's make sure you're speaking about THIS site, and NOT compositearf.com -

I would hate to give someone the wrong impression of this company.

Hello.
I generally buy composite materials from R&G in Germany.
http://www.r-g.de/

They sell tear off fabric, 64, 95 and 100 g/m2 (approx. 2 and 3 oz/yd2) in 50, 75, 100 and 150 cm widths.
Smallest quantity is 1 meter.

This is a method I use on most of my planes including large quarter scale planes. It works well with monocote, ultracote and any of the tex's such as Solartex. Very strong and absulutely free moving. Note, you can even leave the mating surfaces square (no bevel or taper) and they still work well.
