I took a hard landing last night and the control horn for the elevator must have snagged something because it ripped part of the left side of the elevator off of the stabilizer. Can I just glue this back on with CA? My concern is that the elevator won't be as responsive after the repair. Is another option to remove the elevator completely and install elevator tape?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

From your description, I am assuming that the elevator cracked and split on the left side, without pulling the hinges out.
If this is true, fit the two halves back together. If they fit good then just CA them and be on your way. Be sure and
check that elevator servo operation and "throw" adjustment before flying.
If they dont fit goo, go to your local LHS and pick up a new piece of balsa and make a new elevator.
