Default Fiberglassing 35% Extra

[8D]I want to fiberglass my 35% Extra with .75 or lighter cloth. Anybody have any sugestions on type of weave, resin, technique ect... I am looking to put a wicked paint scheme on it rather than monokote. All comments will be greatly appreciated.

You may want to look into a video created by Don Ramsey (Pattern pilot & builder). It is very informative and goes step by step through the process of using light cloth, all the way up to painting with PPG to achieve the lightest finish possible.

Hi. I fiberglassed my TF Cessna 182 with 3/4 ounce cloth and water based polyurethane (Minwax Polycrylic). Turned out fantastic, and was easy to work with. They say it is 40% lighter than epoxy resin, but I did no comparison. I do know that I added under a pound (I think it was 11 oz) from bare wood to clearcoated finish.
