I have been reading the threads and there are a lot of specific threads but not many on the airplane as a whole so lets hear about your different models and experiments that use composite building methods. I have posted pictures of my composite fantrainer in the members gallery. Its still under construction and is experimental so its goin a little slow but steady. Let me know what you all think!

There are some very good threads in regards to mold making in the Pylon World Scale Racing forums.
The first thread can be seen at:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...66&forumid=113
The threads revolve on the mold making, and layup of a wing and fuze for a Tsunami racing plane.
There are a couple other parts to the thread, so search for Tsunami, and you can see the others also..

The corsair used to be a kit we offered around 10 yrs ago. I still have and all the tooling to make them, but I don't have the time anymore.
Mine has a 61 in it, it is considered a 46 size.
The 109G is comming along but slowly. I shall update with pics when I have more to show.

SCALECRAFT, are those the spars in the female mold for the Corsair wing? Very nice! I am trying to visualize how you went from plug to mold. What kind of parting board did you use?

The parting board that we used at the time was a PVC 1/4" plastic that was heated for the curved section of the wing.
Now days you can use anything that is non porous and will not soak up the wax/pva barrier. I have a freind that uses styrene sheet that is shored up to the plug.
Takes time but yields a almost seamless joint.
See vicrc.com for some good pics of molds. He is a local guy that knows what he's doing.
