New to this forum… so Hi y’all

With all the vast access there is to everything on the internet, i just stumbled upon this site last night when looking for Control Line stuff… I am happy to have found this community and look forward to participating and getting to know y’all.
I got my first C/L airplane when i was but a wee lad living in Central California…. The Cox P40 Warhawk back in the 70’s… been flying and building ever since (aside from the years the kids were in sports). So now they are all grown and on their own, I dusted off some birds I managed to build over the last few years and look forward to getting them up in the air soon.
I attempted to share an image but apparently I need 10 posts before I can share photos…. LOL. Anyway, thought I’d introduce myself.

oh, and I also built a Sig Akromaster with a 20 and before that, i scaled up a Gullows P-40 from the .049 size to a Fox 25. Never flew it… still need a canopy. However, I built a vacuum forming machine (commercial type, not pegboard) so will finally make that too.

I am amazed at the prices of engines these days… i just paid like 70 for an OS 15 that I’ll need to still get a Venturi and NVA for…. Wow. It seems nobody makes CL engines for reasonable prices anymore.

So getting close to being able to post photos… dug out some old boxes, found the scaled up plains for the Guillows P-40 and the box containing a half built R/C Sig Kadet from the late 70s or early 80s my dad and I started before I went off to college. fuse is build as is the wing… the rest still needs to be completed.. the plans are quite fragile. Dad passed away in 2006 and I’ve kept it all this time thinking one day…. I’ll finish it.

I also found several boxes of 20 engine sized R/C warbirds i had stuffed away. I do remember buying these because I wanted built-up fuselages when only profile warbirds were available for C/L… now I’m into profiles I have to decide if I build them as C/L as I originally intended or go R/C. Or maybe just sell them on ebay for 10 times what I paid back in mid 90’s. LOL

Today, I cleaned up my downloaded Midwest ME 109 plans on the computer. Fixed some irregularities in scale and created print and cut templates for scratch building this once previous kit plans. Hope to share pics soon.
