Default Comet Sabre 44

Anybody know the history of this ready to fly prop jet? I think I had one around 1959 or so. Dont think I ever flew it. Seems like I could not get the Herkimer started.

I had one "back then". Mine was before they switched to the Cubs with the pull starter. Mine had a standard Cub .049B engine. I THINK it had a flywheel-like device behind the prop for winding a string on to start it. It's been a WHILE so I may not remember correctly. I think the wings were yellow and the fuselage black.
Never really flew. I swung it around on about 12' lines with the engine running. Thinking back, it was probably not broken in yet and I was probably using cheap low nitro fuel.
Still have the engine.

WOW ditto! I think Dad bought mine when I was 4 or 5, yeah mine, right Dad. He did try to fly it, and I remember one of the stabilizers being broken off. It sat in the basement for decades. I think Dad trashed it just a couple of years ago.
