It's a heat-shrinking clear mylar with a strong adhesive backing--about a thousand times better than monokote. It's an Avery product; best thing I've ever found for wing coating.
Used to get it by the foot from the LHS, but now my only access is a fellow who only wants to get it in hundred-foot rolls. Don't quite need that much.

Thanx, KD. Took your advice and wrote him, and he's already responded enthusiastically. Though he doesn't sell FasCal, he has something he claims is even better, called SLC.

You're welcome. Phil's a great guy, used to be a member of our CL club in Minneapolis (before my time). Very clever with foam and CF. His Lil Hacker and other combat models are great cheap trainers or fun CL flyers. He has a huge foam wing profile stunter that flies sooooo sloooowww, it's unreal.
