Default Ugly Airplane Alert!

OK maybe ot real ugly. But I have always thought the old PDQ kits to be rather odd looking. The Circus Prince, resurrected by Brodak, is one of the more... eccentric - though nowhere near as strange as the Lion Tamer!

Anyhow, my first airplane was a PDQ Circus Prince, built around 1962. A few years ago I spotted the Brodak booth at Toledo, and one of his kits just leaped into my hands and followed me home - finally got around to building it. The Brodak kit is a wee bit (actuallyseveral miles) better than the PDQ kit. The kit calls for capstrips full chord, but I sheeted the leading edge and cap stripped the rest. After adding the shear webs this is one bullet-proof wing! Power is a TT15. Have not run it yet but I am told they scream. I also have not flown controline in over 20 years!

Do not have any pix my original CP, but I think it had orange wings and either a black or purple fuselage, thus the update - done with Monocote.

Enjoy. Hope this is not TOO ugly for RCU!

rather odd looking.
You said it! Nice choice of colors, though. Looks like it'll fly great ... enjoy.

G'day Dennis,

Looks good. My experience with the TT 15 is - It's a powerful easy handling motor. Likes a sniff of nitro 5-10% 8x4 APC prop then go fly the wings off the thing.

Good luck
