hey guys,
i just bought some braided fishing line for my 1/2a ? i read on a post somewhere a name of a knot to tie in the ends of the lines. i wasn`t a boy scout ,sailor or fisherman so i don`t know much about knots! i can tie a sguare knot
the last thing i need is the knot to come undone & crash a plane
i can do that good with everything going right.
thanks,
conk

Just make sure you use good line clips instead of fish hooks. Them fish hooks don't work well if you get slack lines!
Yes, the palomar knot works well.

I located my copy of H. Nilssons' "The Little Red Fishing Knot Book" and he recommends a double Palomar for superbraid lines-wrap the loop twice around the standing line before looping it over the clip/connector. Great little book-I found mine at local sporting goods store. Good diagrams-several knots designed expressly for superbraid that are fairly complex but look incredibly secure. I still agree that these are fine for 1/2 A, but that is all I have flown. I will leave the discusion of larger models to those who have expierience. Perhaps they are not the best idea for Combat-I have no expierience there either.
