Hello guys ,
Thought i would let everyone know on this thread,that a company here in Indiana is bring out a cox powered car,due out this spring/summer..and its the Vega Funny Car,complete with tether line Drag Strip and launcher,and parachute,it being done by the company Autoworld/Round2

Pictures? Video? Links to their website? Any other data floating around?

I wunder what the price will be

Ok guys here is what i have so far, its due out Spring to summer of this year,the box Art i saw was very cool,and the car was yellow ,and it had a logo on the side with a smiley face looking dude with sunglasses and pointy gotee beard,and the words down the side said VEGASTAR.Tom told me though its coming in red,and blue,and maybe I guess yellow.Ok now dont freak out on the price,because remember this he is a small company,and he doesnt have places like walmart buying them,and lets face it they were $25.00 over 30yrs ago,and that back then was pricey....He says around $140.00,but it does come with the Car,the Launcher,the Tether Line Drag strip, Parachutes. much like they came back in the day.and think of it thisway ,if you find one of the drag cars in great condition in Ebay,thye sell for over $200,and if they have the box and any accessories they go for well over $300.00 to $400.00.
Ok alos he says they should run Over 30Mph down the the tether line.and now that doesnt seem really fast but the car is like only 17 inch long,made of plastic,iam sure it will run faster that that on alittle longer tether line.
And Tom says if this one sells good they will do other Models,two he is thinking about doing next is either the Dune Buggy Or the Baja Beetle!!!!Yes right now they dont have any info on their site,but if you go to the link above and go to the contact section and email them ,they will confirm this info.all i know iam excited about it.

go to the section on these forums called Gow engines,I have also a post over there and we got a nice size thread going,there is a link on pg1 and you can see the box art of what the car looks like.

i had one of these in 76 or 77 don't rember a parachute. ran it till it broke.
