Best prop for a 46LA-S
#2
I've got a 46LA running on my 34-year old Goldberg Sr. Falcon (rather highly modified so it does nearly anything I want it to do) and I use an 11x6 on her - always have, and I can get vertical climbs all day long, along with vertical "stand-in-place" with plenty of power to climb her out of it when I'm ready. Plenty of power for going up, plenty of flywheel-effect for long idles on approach.

I tried several props and settled on a Top Flight wood 12x4. Many guys swear by the APC 12 1/4x3 3/4. I just got one but haven't tried it yet. Waiting on the weather to cooperate. I'm flying a Tudor which is basically a profile Nobler.
