Question about mecoa.com

Has anyone bought engines from mecoa.com? They carry a lot of neat stuff but I don't know anyone with experience of their products. Anyone know about them?

They claim to be about to reintroduce the venerable Fox .35 Stunt engine: https://www.mecoa.biz/shopexd.asp?id=5488

I have placed several orders from them over the years and have never had a problem. However, I have not bought an engine from them, just parts & so forth. Personally, I would not hesitate buying an engine from them either. Lately, I have been thinking of buying a K&B Sportster .28 from Mecoa and converting it to a control line engine to use on a Goldberg Shoestring.

I have purchased several engines from Mecoa. Their .46 RC has been a very good engine, easy to start with good power.

I've bought several. Had problems with one and they were quick to take care of problem.

Oh yea they are some what big company. They bought many manufacture and machines to make engine and engine parts. I bought a Toki muffler for Toki 40. They ship them out in 3 days or 2. When you buy something they send u a small flyer of most of their engine they want to sell you and such. Either way we need to keep them going. If going to buy engine and engine parts. Get it from Mecoa don't buy c r a p from tower. Tower or horizon hobby beside this hobby shrinking Mecoa own many manufacture when their gone u loose most brands. This is the muffler i got from them. Perfect condition :) They say that the Toki 40 for helicopter is different then the older toki 40 because they make the engine now. Toki sold it to Century then Century sold it to Meccoa. I heard toki engine for cars are super powerful as toki 40 for heli.

I have an original Kraft .61, and the RJL version made by Mecoa. Can't tell them apart unless I look for the RJL insignia on the side of the case. I had a Mecoa .46 18 years ago, took time to break it in, but ran fine after. I remember they gave a $20 discount if you mailed in your wiped out engine in trade. That was a cool deal.

Well, I just thought it would be appropriate to comment on my experience with my purchase from MECOA.

All I can say is "WOW". The engines I bought (HP .61 and Fox .35) are absolutely beautiful. The HP came with a beautiful box and all the normal supplies that would be expected if this engine was purchased from the original maker: muffler with the required mounting screws and allen key, the proper foam padding in the box and all the correct documentation. The Fox engine came with a beautiful repro of the original running instructions.

Plus, the delivery included a nice MECOA hat.

The ngines are absolutely beautiful. If they run even half as good as they look, then I will be more than satisfied.
