What a day, what an experience!
I was flying my recently acquired Calypso with a YS91 turning a 13x11, this sunny Sunday morning at my usual mach1 speed on my fifth flight coming straight down the field when the plane just happened to fly above a newcomers brand new plane(also pretty fast .5mach) when I (and everyone at the field) heard a crack and I heard a loud protest from the other flier and an announcement from other modelers that I had hit the other plane. Strangely enough, nothing prevented the two planes from continuiing to fly and I wondered what the fuss was about; nevertheless I apologized and continued to fly. I landed 4 minutes later making it almost to the end of the runway to a dead stop, revved the engine up with full right rudder and the plane turned only a bit; I felt something was wrong; engine shut and I walked up to the plane, lifted it to examine the tail wheel; there was a half tailwheel only; the other half got chopped by the prop of the plane below when I passed it. That was close...Phew!! I packed up and went home thanking my lucky stars.

Sorry guys,
I have been busy buying. RCU is disgustingly great; too many good deals on here; got another pattern plane last night off here a Zen90; I really have to stop buying stuff here. It is fun.
Anyway, nothing happened to either plane, both planes survived miraculously; I imagine if I had been an inch or so lower, the other plane would have chopped through my fuselage, instead it cut the rubber of the wheel till the little rim; if I had a digital camera I would post the pic of the wheel on it. By the way the pics my friend took of the Calypso are in my gallery.
I am sure the other plane was using an apc. I was using apc 13x11. I still shudder to think what could have happened. I have been flying the Calypso this evening after work. When I arrived there, another fellow member who was just about to take off said "You won't hit me will you?" I laughed and promised not to.
