I went out to the club field today. I was a week late to get a January flight in. We have about two feet of snow on the ground and I flew a Flip 3D on floats. I found some pictures in a bag with a wheel and a little balsa on the bulletin board. I put my first trainer into the top of a 50 foot tree in late November. It was a beautiful flat spin that did not come out in time. Here is one of the pictures.
It will fly again.
It will fly again.

Ahh yes...
Looks like a Hobbico SuperStar to me. Great plane. My first.
-And, you had it in a flat spin?... Over a tree?... In November?...
My friends are wussies. I want to drink beer with you.

Yep, It started life as a Hobbico Superstar. The poor plane has been augered, pancaked, treed, and attacked by corn several times. It was my first plane and is kinda special. I keep rebuilding it. I believe the servo tray, one landing gear wire and the Superstar sticker on the wing are still original.
