New SPA3D :
Wow flew it today , what a wild maiden .Went like a un-controled rocket !!
Got it down only breaking prop in process.(inverted landing)lol lol
The beast was tail heavy. Had checked this serveral times during building but not accurately enough.
Learn by our mistakes !!!!! Is balanced PERFECTLY now !!!!!!
Will fly again next weekend.
torp.

SPAD stands for simple plastic airplane designs. I haven't built one myself yet. But wiil soon. I already have the sign material. I just need to finish some other projects first b4 I begin a new one

Hi Geistware, Balance point 6" back from LE .
This is where the 5/32 support should be ,
Mine is 2 flutes back, and balanced on that .
All fixed now though.

Well a good reason to build a SPAD. Was doing some crazy moves that i would never do with a "shop model"
and boom , what a beauty !!!!
Nose in .(hard)pic looks cool , look at angle of motor.
Cleaned out dirt ,fitted new prop, cut new alloy fuse ,fitted radio etc and ready to fly again at the price of
a prop $8.50NZ !!!!!A couple of hours in there too !!!!!!!
Good when you have a crash and can walk away with a smile on your face !!!!!!! lol lol
cheers torp

p.s impact crater upper right of wreck !!!!!!! lol lol
