wow a deadstik and your landing gear was messed up. You handled that nicely!
I dont know what was growing in the field next to the runway but if it was something soft i might have been tempted to land in there. At my field we have a big canola (sp?) filed next to us, so if something like that happened i would land there, but you made a good landing anyway!
Awesome job!

well, the facts are I losted a landing gear fixing screw after 5 minuts of flight, the gear assembly rotate 90 degrees. I continued to fly 15 more minuts hoping the second screw would come loose and that I will lost the gear, nope ..........
the field next to the runway was not a soft stuff, it is potatoes, hard thing, very thick.......
I guy suggested that I hover the plane at 3feet, so he could catch it, I declined that offer, because either I could have managed that, I am not a killer, a wayyyyyyyyyy to dangerous.
I decided to go for a deadstick

Great save. Good idea not to go with the hovering/catch idea. I cringe when I see people do that. Sure it looks cool but wow is it dangerous. No matter what the skill level of the pilot, if a wind gust comes a long at the wrong moment you have a person missing an eye or with a slit neck. I have even seen a manufactures video (wont say who) posted on their website of someone cathcing on of their models like that. Tremendously irresponsible on the part of the manufacturer.
