I saw Mike fly at the Blue Ash Airport Days near Cincinnati this year. I'm going to keep an eye out for him. He's good.

I also got to see Sean Tucker fly at Dayton. Only a cartoonist can make a plane do more!

it was great! there were a few canclelations due to the hurricane. the blue angels canceled. they are stationed in FLA. The YAK 54 that i wanted to see canceled.. mikes show was pretty good but Sean Tuckers show made my day. He did the ribbon cut. 3 of them in a row . knife edge roll knife edge then roll inverted for last ribbon. they were 20ft high. before he cut them he flew under all 3. he also did an almost idle High alpha KE pass about 20 ft off the ground. gassing it just enough to stay above a stall like a model maybe 30 mph. he also hovered (not torqe rolling) and flew the plane backwards for about 75 ft. the whole time he was talking to the crowd from the cocpit. He also did what he calls the double hammerhead basicly like a Knife edge waterfall 1 complete revolution in 1 spot. This dude is truly nuts!

a friend videoed it i will have to get it from him I had to just watch first hand HE HE.

I miss those days on the Oceana flight line, the smell of burning JP5, the commotion, the excitement. My squadron was located in the Hangar just inside the entrance. It was VF 43, the Challengers, but it's decommisioned now.....[]

I saw all of them fly at the Reno air races. Peter Besenyei, kirby chambliss, Mike mangold and sean tucker. i was able to get all of their autograpghs. they are so incredible. they had the third of the red bull air races and i believe kirby won but i am not sure.

This plane could. Turbo Raven!! Until he crashed, now he is 2 inches shorter. Pancaked it on a vertical down line. The guy would go nose down and throw the prop full beta to sow down, then go full alpha and flare for landing. The engine flamed out and he splatted. But he's ok.

Any way, it can be done. Just expensive and crazy!

I was just wondering what kind of fighter pilots these guys would have been during WW2!
Can you imagine the looks on the German or Japanese pilots when these guys started pulling off those manuevers?
