Muxje,
Haaahahaahahahahaaaaa!!!!
Heck, I've been cut by a prop that wasn't even on a plane! Once, the G62 prop slipped and rapped my knuckles (it's got a spring starter) which hurt for days! Despite the leather glove! I seem to recall, in my youth, a P51 with rubber band power taking a good chunk of hide off my hand.
Ah, but I'm sure there are better stories out there.
Good luck,
Dave Olson

Nope, never seen it happen either, in 4 years or so of flying.

In the old days, before starters were prevalent, got a kickback when hand propping an old Veco 35... A little blood, couple of bandaids, no permanent damage... Sure love starters and chicken sticks...

Reached over an idling 14 inch prop with only enough clearance for a 13 inch prop still have 3 nice little scars and one about 2 inches long... missed the main artery in my forearm by less than an 1/8 of an inch[X(]

I've been flying for close to 50 years and I have been bitten many times but can't count them, not enough fingers and toes left...........

I was trying to start a brand new engine, didn't realize it was flooded.I thought my field battery was down and so I thought that was why my starter wouldn,t turn it over.In my brilliance I decided to try to finger start it.Result was engine still didn't start and I made a trip to hospital for 5 stitches.Afterward I discovered that the engine was flooded.

yep...and I have the scars from 19 stitches to prove it. It was over 30 years ago and I was lucky...if I had put my hand in the prop at a different angle, I would be missing a finger. It was a stupid move and I never start an engine without an electric starter now.

Fortunately I've never drawn blood from a propeller on a finger, but I do have three crescent shaped scars near the inside of my elbow from my LMH 110 rotor blades.

Way back in my trainer days before I bought an electric starter. My OS 61FS kicked back on me and cut my left index finger wide open. Looked like a gill on the side of a fish, and cut it to the bone. Well thank god for CA glue. Saved me a trip to the hospital. And with no one to take me to the hospital. I decided to rinse it off and pushed the cut closed with my left thumb and ran a bead of CA over it. Then hit it with Zap kicker. God the neighbors heard me scream a block away.
Kids don't try this at home....(the Zap Kicker thing).
Any way my index finger healed fine but was numb for about 6 months. And I bought a electric starter shortly there after. Luckily I haven't had a mishap since. Now I stay the heck way from the spinning prop.
