Japan 3D!!!! Are they still flying out near Kamisea Housing area? I started flying out there near the base with a Tower 40 Trainer that we had to hand launch......What a site!!! Also had a Gentle Lady that I used on the Golf course and Socer field at Atsugi when the course wasn't busy. Great to see people still flying out there. I went to a field near the World Cup soccer stadium where the locals would fly off the top of a dirt mound. I saw many a crash there. It was crazy when some one would call out a cash. everyone scattered to avoid the incoming plane or helicopter.

Flyinghuntster,
Kamiseya flying has been banned to some degree. No more flying in the park outside the gate. Some people fly helicopters on the base now. We currently fly on Sagami Depot, which is good for me as it's a 5 minute ride from my house. Up until last january '04 we could fly anything there, now it's limited to 1.20 or less engine size. I fly my giants in Haruna Town. About a 3 hr drive one way from here. I used to fly by the stadium also, with the Shin-Yokohama R/C Club. Several of the Japanese who belong to that club fly with us on Sagami Depot. Yes there was quite a few crashes there. I actually had a nickname for one guy, I called him crashtime. We used to guess how long it would take till he plowed his heli into the ground. He always brought 3 helis and never took them home in one piece. They only fly small planes there now. I haven't flown there in 4 yrs or so. When were you here in Japan? I've been here this time for close to 11 yrs, also was stationed here from 81-87.
