Default Death to Decathlon YIPPEE

Has anyone been as glad as I am to crash a plane. Yesterday, a pushrod retainer pulled away from the pushrods resulting in my decathlon doing what a decathlon does best. Snap/spin

Yes....I had a Chipmuck once that was a nightmare....just bank it into
a turn and give it some up....snap, heads right for the ground. [X(]

I stomped the plane to bits on the ground one Sunday morning.

Balsa Master,
Why wouldn't I be happy about it? My second flight was shot down and had a hard match with gravity.[:'(] After the rebuild, it didn't fly as good as I would have hoped, but still ok. After some hard flying, the plane just wouldn't fly right.

Sometimes, a model give you problems as soon as you take it out of the box. You put time and effort into it and theres always problems. And when you fly it, if it crashes, you don't really care because your thinkin, "I'll just use the servos and engine in something else"!!! Justifies you buying something else.

I had a VMar AT6 once. It was one thing after another, played with that plane for two seasons. I just couldn't get that plane to fly right. It tested my patience once too often, a little down elevator and just like magic, it didn't bother me no more. I'm here to tell you, that reall felt good!! I understand woops where you are coming from and I know that really felt good!!

It WAS the Great Planes Decathlon before I lost radio contact on the second flight resulting in a full throttle knife edge gravitational pull. The plane was rebuilt a couple pounds heavier and didn't track the way it should. I flew it about 50 times before I gave up trying to pull it our of an unintentional snapping spin. I would Highly reccommend that Great Planes re-kit or ARF it.
