I had my first crash and it was a humbling experience. It was the fourth flight on my Global Freestyle. I am not sure what happened but when I took off it became very roll sensitive and I realized that the aileron hi/lo rate switch had somehow flipped to hi. I got it up and turned but still lost control. It was totaled. I do remember glancing at my transmitter, which was probably a mistake, to look at the rate switch, but I was so busy that I didn't ever switch it to low. After the crash I checked the battery and there was an intermittant connection, but that could have happened because of the crash.
If anyone has a Global Freestyle kit for sale, I would be interested.

Word to the wise, we maybe semi intelegant, well maybe ..... well anyway, try EXPO in your programming. It really takes the sting out of your sticks at low deflection.

Ryanpilot makes a damn good statement. All my glow and even some of my brushless powered electrics have expo dialed.
Its makes it easy to control and when you wanna really hammer the control surfaces for aerobatics, you got full deflection.

Winglift,
Welcome top the club. I concurr with the first two replies. I further recommend yo check your transmitter settings and control surface movement before each and every take off. This will save you grief in the future. Good luck.
