Default What went wrong?

Hey Guys,
Wondering if I could get so ideas as to what went wrong. I was maiden flighting a Skyshark Me-109g and and had a problem in the air. I had a st 75 running a 14x6 prop. The plane weight was at approximately 11lbs, maybe 12 top end. My main concern was the takeoff. The taxi went great, smooth long run up, pulled off the ground perfectly! gained some altitude, made a left turn, trimmed the elevator (to much up), retracted the gear, took another left, trimed the aileron took another left, and it was flying fine. A little touchy though so I switch to low rates, toook a left thought everything was going good! Then I took a right, alitte rudder and aileron, with a touch of elevator and it snapped right and went into a tail spin. I can't remember if I gave it full throttle or already had it there, nonetheless, I let go of everything else, waited a second, gave it a little up, and it started briefly to come up then it snapped again and went in to the ground. !@#!@$ !@#$ !

Any ideas as to what went wrong? Most probably my fault, but I need to what I did wrong. On the other hand, could it have been to nose heavy? I balanced it slightly forward of the suggested cg.

Could it have been too much elevator throw? Why on the right hand turn?

My VQ P-40 did the same. Did you have your wings balanced?(lateral balance)

Despite what the plans stated, it sounds very tail heavy. Sometimes the CG noted on the plans is wrong. It's always wise to calculate it yourself. It could have also been coupled with too much elevator throw.

I agree with DR1 in all areas. Other threads posted recently (other aircraft) regarding snap-rolling were tied to aft CG and too much elevator input. I wonder if something shifted aft? Sorry about your loss. I too have seen an amazing number of references lately of published CG's being way out of whack.
