RE: Very Bad Luck
I just found this thread today and want to say you guys that helped Tony are great!
Im 42 yrs old now and back into the hobby after a 30 year layoff. I too was a young man about Tony's age when I got bit by the model airplane bug. I mowed lawns, swam in golf course ponds to retrieve golfballs to sell, sold Grit newspapers, anything I could to save the money to buy my first kit and radio. I still to this day remember when the delivery man brought my Airtronics 3 channel radio it was like 1000 christmas's rolled together! (And as I recall, over $100.00)
My sig Klipper was finally finished and my mother took me to a club members house to look the plane over before the preflight, everything was good so the next morning i was finally a pilot! He took off and flew to a safe altitude then asked if i was ready and handed me the transmitter, boy was I nervous but was I ever hooked, 12 yrs old and flying an airplane! Well after several more weekends at the the flying field (And still not learning to take off or land) we had to move to another city. After the move I seeked out the nearest club and joined at a meeting. At the flying field I was told my plane couldnt be flown as it needed new pushrods that were "better" i went home dejected and replaced the pushrods in my pride and joy. I again went to the field where I was told I couldnt fly my plane because of some other problem. This happened 2 more times and that was enough for this 13 yr old to give up airplanes and find another hobby.
What we do as adults can have a life long impact on the young, even more than we realize and I personally want to thank you for what you have done for Tony.

RE: Very Bad Luck
Yeah, lots of adults at some old club I just to fly at were like that. It seemed that they just didn't want kids around. After about 3 weeks of non flying because of "problems", they told me I needed a new engine when the one I had was brand new and working fine. I instantly knew that they were just didn't want me around for some reason. Seems at markham park people are much nicer.
I also got to fly my focke wulf 190! The airfield was closed AGAIN! [:@] So I just found some construction site a pulled this plane out.

RE: Very Bad Luck
ive heard that the funtana 40 isnt that good of a 3D'r. Bad coupling and very rocky in harriers but other people have found it to torque roll great. You can call lanier at 770-532-6401 and you can ask them about the fuselage.

RE: Very Bad Luck
I crashed my focke wulf I didn't have to work today so I took a walk to that construction site again.
I was actualy begining to fly backwards in the strong wind (on purpose) when the wind suddenly stopped.
It went into a spin and it crashed (partialy due to lack of rudder and altitude). I was getting ahead of myself,
feeling too confortable with the plane. Only damage is the fuse, it split down the canopy, I might not fix it,
the airframe is worn out anyways, might just get a total new airframe or a parkzone spitfire airframe.
Rest in pieces!

edberg, thats to bad.....if you dont want it........i wil take it.....lol......-EXTRA-, the tower 75 would be good. I would also look a the O.S 55ax....its suppose to swing bigger props in the lower RPM range which is good for 3D.

I think im done with the parkzonezone stuff, i've started to loose interest with their planes. You said that you were thinking of getting the spitifre once I think, want my parkzone electronics? The rx, tx/esc, and the stock nimh battery. The engine shaft is bent and the gears cracked, I dont think you would want them.

If he dosen't want them, i'll give them to you. How do I go about shipping them, I can't rely on my parents, they are the "everyone on the internet is a serial rapist" kind of people.
