looking for a canopy for Direct Connections FA18 hornet
I need a canopy for a discontinued plane. The plane is a Direct Connections FA18 hornet. The canopy is no longer available through dealers so Iam trying to find one maybe off a crashed hornet or something. If you have one please let me know and we will work out a deal for it. Thanks....Arthur

I had a similar problem.
Make your own out of blue foam! It's easy to cut and shape, and then cover in black monokote. Sorted.

great idea if thats what you did on the fa18 that you show it looks great. I will do that if I cant find an original. That really helps and gives me an option I didnt even think about. Thanks for the reply....Arthur

That's not my plane Arthur, Just the pattern I copied my paintscheme from i managed to cock up my canopy whilst painting it. So rather than order a new clear one, I just carved a new one from blue foam. It looks pretty good too!

The direct connection F/A-18 is available from a company called Juno, junorc.com. Actually their web site is under construction now but there is an email addy you can try and see if you can buy a canopy for your plane.

All,
FYI......the Hornet pictured in post #2 is not the Juno R/C Hornet, usless someone has heavily modified it.

You misunderstood. I was trying to cover my bases. I could envision someone buying a kit, then saying "Hey, it doesn't look like the one posted above". That's why I put up the post as FYI to all that it is not a picture of a Juno R/C product.

RE: looking for a canopy for Direct Connections FA18 hornet
thanks everyone for your replies I have found an entire kit from JUNORC.com for only 96.00. I think instead of all the rebuilding work I am just going to build a new plane. This is really a fast and exciting plane to fly if anyone is interested in a prop jet that looks like the real thing. I had my last one for about 10 years before my fatal 2 foot inverted pass at about 113 mph when I got hit with wind sheer and droped to 0 feet ripping the entire top of the plane off including the engine and firewall.
