My SkyVista..R.I.P
Did 7 or so solid flights with my Skyvista..then about 6 we decided for out last flight of the day so my buddy and I gt back in the air. He flies a World Models P-51 eith a 46fx so its a screamer. I was just pudging around and he came out of now where and clipped me!
My plane continued forward but his fell apart. The wing sperated from the fuse and turned it into an expensive lawn dart. Luckily it hit at a soft angle and the ground was musy, he came away with bad damge but it MIGHT be repairable.
My plane's motor cut off and lost some chunk of the wing. I tried to save it but it went into a tree and is beyond repair. I was not mad at him but dissapointed I lost an ol friend in the sky today
he sais as he crossed the field he saw a plane in his peripheral but it was not me but a real jetliner that he thought was me.. ( we fly not too far Dulles Int Airport and under its flight path, its not as close as one might think )
Damn plane was a workhorse and has been the only one I have been flying since Jan.
Looks like my CAP 232 will go up next week and take its place as the daily driver.
