sooooo what happend to the idiot at the controls? hope he's in better condition than his heli. i have to say that dude put on a show. maybe if he had a more graceful landing it would have been really cool. but the way it is, he's lucky that one of those rotors didn't hit someone.

when i was watching it i was thinkin maybe its someone messing about pretending they've lost all control...then i saw it crash....i dont think anyone would trash a hughs heli and risk their own life just for it to be on some net video....unless its for jackass which is kinda screwed in its own way...?

Seems more like a Dietary problem to me. He woke up and ate a large bowl of dummass! He could have killed a few others not to mention wreck other peoples planes. If someone is that stupid, They should do that in the desert where they can't hurt anyone else but themselves. Then it's just nature thinning out the herd.

I have been a professional pilot for a long time and unfortunately there are many guys driving airliners around with accidents and careless and reckless violations on their liscenses.
Example,
Remember the Northwest pilots who were caught drinking several years back?
That Captain is working guess where now? NORTHWEST AIRLINES!
Yeah I know " he had a drinking problem, He has a disease" Blah blah blah.
You cant go to AA for judgement.
I wish it were different but it isnt.

I'm also a pilot, and based on what I've been seeing lately, they'll bust you permanently for violating a TFR that wasn't announced up until an hour before. I'd be real surprised if they didn't show up at the hospital to shred this guys ticket. Hell, the DHD can request the FAA to pull a ticket on a hunch, and the pilot has no appeal.
So I guess it's all speculation, but I doubt he'll keep his wings.

I've been flying for about 20 years and I own a Saratoga TC.

i'm sorry but the only thing that i've ever flown as been a firebird and a mini piper, both with about the same wingspan as a man's arm and i have flown with more consideration for myself, the plane, and others, than that guy did.

i have to agree, you wouldn't just get in a car and drive if you had never done it before, that's dangerous enough. now give it a bunch of spinning swords that are goin' around at a million mph. then have the whole thing flipping around the sky. now is that not basically what's happened with this idiot in the chopper? (hmmm...chopper, really lives up to it's name dosen't it?)

I heard on the radio once that a law should be made to let idiots do as the please, then after a while they would be all gone and no more idiots in the world, seems effective, but kinda sad way to do it, maybe he heard it too?
