Rebuild/resto of a Sig Rascal 110
I was given this 110 after a few years of being a UAV test platform work horse. It looks to have had a ruff life[&:] I have decided to give it new life or try too anyway lol.
It's last flight...

I fixed all the broken ribs and balsa in the fuse and currently smoothing out all the CA and dents and repaired cracks with balsa putty.
The only thing I can't decide on is a new covering design??? anybody know of or have a good link to designs of sport and acrobatic covering? I hop it to be on the simple side since this is my 2nd attemt at covering a model.

The Rascal 110 is one of my favorites in my hanger. I will be watching your rebuild and custom covering for sure. What do you intend to power it with when you put it back into service?

It always had a OS 160. It was mounted wierd so it made it hard to start (hydrolocking). So I bought a Bison Muffler to mount it the correct way. I have a G26 but I think I may hold that for another project.

Yes... The Over Power Gods will be pleased I too fly mine with an OS 1.60 and it makes this "big trainer" do things people can't believe it could possibly do. The first time I hovered it people just dropped their jaws then they fell over on a high alpha knife edge pass A 26cc gasser would be nice and ecinomical but it won't fly it to the extream. I also have a 26cc RCGF rear induction gasser new in the box. But it will never find it's way into my Rascal

RE: Rebuild/resto of a Sig Rascal 110
I've been lagging. mostly because I've been flying more and trying to recover from Christmas... dang Monokote is pricey for a model this size!!
I had to make a hole in the front to remove the fuel tank..."someone glued it in???"
I re-skinned the hole I made, fixed the old switch/ charging hole and started covering.. I know it's bright but I'm a child of the 80's
