Thought I'd share my photoshopped photo
Just playing around with a car I just built and wanted to send a photo to the company that made the rear exit pipe for the car. Wanted something that wasn't a total body off shot so came up with this. It's a horrible angle but acheives what I wanted. Shot with a Fuji S7000

Skill right there buddy.
Like you said, I definately would change the angle. It's a great shot but the angle isn't getting my attention.
If you have the space, you might could get a white cloth and shoot the car on that to get that "studio" look.
Amazing effect.
Note to self: MOVE UP TO PHOTOSHOP

wow forgot about this thread! I posted this about a year ago
Looking back I still agree with you. Odd angle. I was trying to get something that really showed off the rear exit pipe for the site the exhaust came from and while it didn't do any justice for the car it was a decent shot of the pipe.

Oh geez. I actually rarely ever look at the date.
None-the-less its a really neat looking picture.
BTW, did you ever send it to anyone and get a big response?
Would you mind explaining how you did this? I'm sure it's two pictures and did you just layer it and set the opacity on the top lower? What about having the fin more opaque?
Sorry so many questions. I am only working with PhotoStudio so might not be able to get this kind of work

RE: Thought I'd share my photoshopped photo
It's REALLY easy actually.
I set the camera up on a tripod and snapped a picture of the car with the lid on. Without moving the camera or car I took the lid off and took a picture of the body off. then in photoshop I open the image with the body off and pasted the body on shot over it. if you didn't move anything it will line up perfectly. Then I just made sure that the top layer (layer with the body) was the active layer and took the eraser tool and set its opacity at around %20. Then just erased away whatever part of the body I wanted to. Since the opacity is minimal the shading should be pretty nice. You can draw shapes and feather the edges and then delete that shape to get the same effect. Might be a little smother that way.
Easy huh?
oh yeh, I did submit it tsais racing and they did want to use it on their site but then I couldn't find the original images! I only had it at the 800x600 I resized it too.

Oh that sucks too bad you resized it.
That's a really neat picture. I thought about doing that with my helicopter and to get the same effect you got.
I'm only working with PhotoStudio, but I'll have to play around. I'm sure I can accomplish it.
Thanks

That's cool. I did a similar Photoshop to my real car. See here: [link=http://www.amsterdamnation.org/images/Z28-024.jpg]Z28-024.jpg[/link]

RE: Thought I'd share my photoshopped photo
Looks good amster! I've done a few more things with photoshop. Might as well post them up.
I've been looking to make a tire holder for my real truck and wanted to do something that looked like a trophy truck. So I ended up photoshopping one I found a company makes on my truck to see what it would look like.
Here is one of my girlfriend at the local zoo. She stuck her head in this thing and I envisioned her running around with an insect head on. So I had to have her pose right so I could PS it.

Is that photoshopped or did you use Multiple Exposure? Good shot either way.
