Hello
Can you tell me what's the PAYLOAD for the Draganflyer in its various versions, please?
I need this info for evaluating to purchase it.
Thank you all!

RE: Payload
Hi ambrojohn,
According to their website the DF can carry 4oz (and they go on to state - which is enough to carry their video solution). So I would guess all models except the XP are the same.
The more weight the less flight stability, time, motor life, etc. I have tried it in very limited testing - 2 foot hovers - with 4.3 oz and it seems quite stable although the landings can be hard with the additional weight causing more damage. There are others on the forum that are very successful at flying at high altitudes with about as much weight.

RE: Payload
I also tried a small camera on my df with a servo to activate it. At the time I relatively new to the df and I sucked at flying anyway. To make a long story short, I got one photo at about 10 feet then crashed.
Here's the camera I used: http://cgi.ebay.com/Panasonic-D-Snap...QQcmdZViewItem
It's 57 g, Anyone know how much that is in oz?
Scott

RE: Payload
True. Point is, the df flew like a dog with it underneath. Still, I figure it's just a matter of time until they come out with a digital camera small enough to mount on the df without affecting it's flight.
