Default Arming Buttom problem?

When trying to arm the DF by pressing the arming buttom nothing happens...it started with 2 pushings until it armed and now I am up to 20-30 pushes until it will react and arm.
I tried to figure out what the switch is actually switching by messurements (on my second working board) but couldn't find anything the switch is doing at all?
Does anybody know what this switch does or how to replace it with a standard switch as it is anyway a pain in the ass to press it with the Berg receiver so close to it.
Thanks
Bernd

Sounds like that little pushbutton switch finally wore out. What it does is short a 5 volt signal to ground which the on-board processor senses via an I/O pin. You might be able to find a replacement or alternative at Digikey.com

You might want to try spraying some non-residue electronic contact cleaner into the switch to see if that helps. I have CA glued a piece of CF rod to the "button" to make it easier for my fat fingers to make it work
Cheers,
Jim

Thanks Mike and Jim
I just added an external push buttom to short the 5V to ground and now it works. I tight the button on one of the legs which makes it now very easy to reach and push.
Thanks again
Bernd
