I was moving my 3 cell li poly pack when the deansplug contacted one of my key's and it shorted out!!! where the wires go into the battery it turned black and it smells like burnt. The battery did get warm but that is all that happened. I don't know what to do with this thing now!!! What should I do with the battery? I can't throw it away. I tried plugging it into my speed control on my plane and it doesn't work. I get no power from it now.
What should I do with it?

Get a bucket of water and add a bit of salt. place the battery in it. when the water stops fizing and bubbling (they are very small bubbles and fiz) like over night it is safe to throw the battery in the trash.
