Best NiMH for GWS Spitfire
I'm building a new GWS Spitfire to replace my crunched up orginal and would like some opinions on the best NiMH battery for this plane. I haven't made the leap to LiPoly yet (but will someday). In the meantime, I'm wondering if anyone has used the 1050mA 8-cell KAN flat packs in this plane or if I'd be better off with the 650mA due to weight and size. I'd like to go with the bigger battery, but I know that making this plane too heavy really changes flight characteristics.
Here's the setup I'm planning on
Motor: New Himax outrunner 2808-0980
ESC: CC Pheonix 25
Rcvr: Hitec 555
Servos: Hitec HS-81
I'd like to decide on the battery before I start building so that I can modify the fuselage if needed before I join the halves.

RE: Best NiMH for GWS Spitfire
For weight and size, the 650mAh are hard to beat.
The question is, how many Amps is that motor going to draw? 650mAh NiMH are limited to about 9-10 Amps.
