Default Building a battery pack...

I'm wanting to buy some battery packs from [link]http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com[/link] and I was wondering if anyone could help me decide on which battery to pick.

I want to build a 7 cell 370aMH for my Pico Stick and was wondering if the Gold Peak 400 or CBP350 is a good choice. Also the website says to use 22 gauge wire with JST plugs but will 18 or 20 work?

Thanks!

Hi,
The Gold Peaks are good batts. But I also think the CPB's are just as good and a little cheaper. I've ordered several loose cells and packs from mike. He's a very good guy to order from. From my own experience its a lot easier to screw up the smaller cells when you build your own pack they cant handle much heat!!! I usually build my own packs but when it comes to the smaller packs and cells I just let mike build them for me. Enough rambling to answer your question I'd go with the CPB's thats what I use and never have had a problem.

Thanks Monkey, I'll go with the CPBs then.

What about wire gauge? 18, 20, 22? What works best with the JST connector?

Well the 22 gauge is standard for the JST connector.. thats what I use and works fine... If you wanted bigger wire you would have to drill the JST connector out to fit the size wire you where using.
