Balancing without a balancer

That would be fine. That is what I did before I got a balancer, just ran a tap out between the cells, measured the voltage and then if necessar charged them individually. I found that under normal use they stay pretty well balanced. It takes only seconds to measure them with your DVM so why risk going with them out of balance?

could you explain that a little better Red? I know nothing about these batteries except how to charge and how to put in plane and fly. I have a Hobbico charger and could charge 1 cell at a time but I have this plug and it has 3 black wire and 1 red going to the battery. Do i make some kind of jumper to a deans connector to hook to my charger( please be specific about connectors and such) and do I make 3 jumpers that go to each black wire with the red to hook to the charger? this is my connector. Sorry to be such a novice but i dont want them to blow up on me!!! pics and part numbers would help too if you can.
