Default Computer lithium batteries

My laptop PC at was part of the Dell battery recall, and Dell seems indifferent about getting the old batteries back. I cracked open the pack and it is essentially a 2s3p pack. The cells are metal cans about 5/8" diameter and about 2-1/2" long. The entire pack out of the case weighs about 10 oz. The pack is rated at 4700mah.

So....
Any ideas on what the C rating for these cells would be?
Anyone know if the Sony battery recall was based on problems with the cells or a problem with the charging system?

The weight seems tolerable for the capacity. If these packs are suitable for flight use, there are a lot of free batteries packs (millions) available right now

Who cares? If it smokes the vital fuel of my paycheck it will go back to the greedy gooks that cooked it.[sm=48_48.gif]! I will be in contact with them on Monday since I need it over the weekend.

My $ really do depend on this stoopid puter unfortunately.[:@]

According to what I read in the paper this morning, the problem is in the packs.
Also Microsoft is also now recalling the packs in theirs also. [:@]
