I am running E-Flite's 7.4V 800mAh 2-Cell LiPo, Balanced and
Common Sense's 7.4V 800mAh 8-Cell LiPo, max discharge 6.4 amps, max charge 0.8 amps.

I was wondering what was the deal with "Balanced" on the e-flite battery and if that is something I must run on my CX-2 Heli?

The common sense battery says nothing about Balanced, my LHS recommended it as an alternative to the e-flite and it is a little cheaper. It charges back up with my stock e-flite LiPo charger that came with my cx2.
