I want to use a system consisting of a AXi 2208-34 brushless motor, and a JETI 8 amp ESC, on a 2 cell lipo battery. This is the same system shown on page 58, of the June isse of Model Aviation, in the Zomby.

My primary concern is knowing if the JETI 8 amp ESC is robust enough, to deal with the power surges between the AXi 2208-34 brushless motor, and a 2 cell Li-Poly battery. What do you think ?

Thanks .

An 8 amp controller will be marginal at best, Hobby Lobby recommends a 12 Amp for your size motor. I have 3 of them in different planes and use an 18 AMP. You are only talking a $4 difference between an 8 and a 12. For another $4 you can take it to 18 amps. When in doubt I find it best to follow the manufacturers directions.

Thank much.
