Upgrade Blade SR?

I'm really having fun now flying my Blade SR. Been thinking about upgrading the plastic parts to CNC parts. But then again I could just get a Trex 250 and have a better chopper with no need to upgrade. I like the blade and it's remote because I can keep them in my car and fly during my lunch and not worry if someone will break in my car and steal it. If I get the Trex 250 I'll use my 9C radio and I'd worry. Then again I'd really like heli without a tail motor.

The SR was a major part of my learning curve.
Truthfully, though I'm a fan of E-Flite and their products I rthink that overall the SR is a ...turkey.
The tail rotor motor sucks for lack of a more eloquent way to put it. It's heavy for it's s ize. The tail rotor motor , even when a new one, is mediocre at best.
Since you can fly the SR around if you flew a Blade 400 you'd LOVE it. MORE stable, way less suseptible to wind, just flat more fun. Horizon has a video on their web site that shows precisely how to cinfigure the radio for a first 450 collective pitch heli.
Align makes great products. However, there is a reason web sites are drowning in used 250 T-Rex's for sale. It's very 'busy' to fly, not at all relaxing. By the time its ready to go that attractive price is more than the Blade 400 even when the 400 comes with a 6 channel computer radio with a 10 model memory.
Think hard about that 250 and ask yourself what it is you want out of your next heli. Doug
