MCX problem
Hi all, I have an mcx wich has developed the following problem:
Inserting a fully charged battery, it will fly perfectly for around 45 seconds instead of the usual 7 or so minutes, then it will reduce power and land. This happened about 4 or 5 times, but now it now does not have the power to take off with a fully charged battery, (batteries are ok, as they work perfectly in my msr) and just sits on the floor
Could it be the dreaded 5 in 1 ?

RE: MCX problem
Hopeing this will help someone:
after suspecting the 5 in 1 and (changing) the motors:
The batteries i had were 2 yrs old, worked fine in my sons mcx and 2 msr's , approx 10 e-flite 110mah and 120mah and 3 x 150mah ,one was still unopened in the packet however ,the LVC would cut in after 3 or 4 mins on the MSR's but on the MCX, after only 30 - 45 secs or so , I'm guessing the LVC must cut in earlier than most.
As far as it not being able to take off, the 2 screws hidden by the lower blades had become loose and no longer located in the shaft allowing the lower blades to slip hence reduce power (probably my fault as I fitted an MSR swashplate a while ago)
Simple answer was to buy new batteries (turnigy 160mah) and locate the 2 screws into the shaft ,and now everything is fine,
THE MCX FLIES AGAIN
I will now be looking after all by lipo batteries from now on
