I seem to be getting intermitant power spikes and dips when hovering. My blade will lurch or drop about a foot above the ground several times during a hover flight. Perhaps my 4-in-1 speed control is bad. anybody else have this problem?

Mine does the exact same thing, seems like the power drops out or spikes for a second causing the heli to rise or drop in the sky. Not really sure the reason though, don't think its radio inteference. I thought maybe it had something to do with the stock batteries I'm using. If anybody has any info let us know.

Hi guys,
Concerning your problem... Make sure that all the parts in to rotor head are moving very smoothly. Try lubing the swash plate and the blade grips. Any binding in these areas can couse havoc. It's cheap, easy to do. If that doesn't fix the problem give us a shout.

What kind of lube? 3-in-1 oil? astro-glide? 10W30?
Should we disassemble the head to apply the lube? or can we drop in a couple drops from the side of the swash plate? -Brad

I use WD-40 pens, and just dab a little on the swash, between the blade grips, and along the head for the collective movement. It works OK, but can attract dirt, so I clean often with high quality electronics spray cleaner, and re-lube.
The best thing to use on the top plastic part of the rotor head to lube the collective movement is powdered graphite (most commonly used to lube locks). It does not attract dirt, and works a little better on plastic than light oil. Like I said, however, you can use light oil, but be prepared to clean it often due to it attracting dirt...
