I bought a Blade CP about a year ago and had a horriffic crash first flight. I then decided the CX was probably a better learner's heli as much as I liked all the cool features about the CP. To make a long story short I broke the main frame on the CP and had to rebuild it from the ground up I followed one of the step by step's on this forum. I believe it was bdavidsons post, I think. It helped me rebuild the helicoptor back up failry easliy, problem is ever since I cant get it to take off; My blades are perfectly balanced, Ive tried all sorts of gain and prop mix's with no result. The problem seems to me is in the tail rotor it dosnt kick on until a high throttle then unless I give it "negetive rudder" (Left thumbstick ALL the way to the left (I think thats right Im a noob)) then the tail rudder kicks in high gear and just spins the heli around on the floor. This is why I cant get any vertical lift the tail rotor isnt doing is job in counterbalancing the heli.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP.......... Ive had the CP for a year and flown it once! my main control unit when out on my CX (future post) and now I have nothing to fly

The only things I can think of are:
1. Your tail motor may be burning out.
2. There may be some binding that keeps the tail rotor from spinning freely.
3. Make sure the polarity is correct on both motor plugs.
A side note to make it easy, the tail motor, red and black wires, should have the red above the black, and the main motor, orange and black wires, should have the orange below the black. You may want to buy an extra tail motor anyways, they're cheap and they burn out all the time anyways, so you'll use it eventually even if it's not the problem. Good luck. I just got done giving my CP a major overhaul. Flew well until the battery died.

This is dangerous, wear eye protection before doing this test: For a moment ignore the tail rotor. When holding your CP (securely) while spooling up the main rotor can you see or feel the collective "kick in" around 3/4 throttle?

If it was sticky collective the tail should still work alright, because we don't have an HH gyro the tail would still run... That may a part of the problem though.

You should check the pitch on your main blades. This is usually the main cause of No lift or Bad lift. As for the tail motor 1st set your proportional and gain like the guys before me have said. Now its quite possible your tail motor is bad. I just had 1 do what yours is doing only a few days ago. The only way I could get it to start was by applying full rudder. Then it would stop spinning maybe hiccup a couple times stop and start, anyway, your motor is probably dying and it takes full power just to get it to spin a bit.
Try do what you said youre doing and Im sure that when you check the tail motor its smokin hot. If you have a spare try slap it on.

Thanks guys Im gonna give ALL of this a try but tail rotor going out seems like a distinct possibility! I will post back and let you know!
