i am having a problem with my rear tail motor was wondering if anyone else has had this. the tiny brass bushing that is behind the pinion gear keeps slipping out, this causes the tail motor to stop abruptly and jam up...sometimes it jams so fast that it actually breaks the pins off on the prop. it is starting to get annoying. the motor works fine except for this problem. when the bushing pops out it allows the pinion to move about freely causing the jam up. this does not look like the result of a crash...but who knows...if it was from a crash then tere should have been more damage than just the bushing right? Pitch,
I only have about 6 or 7 flights on my PRO, but haven't had any problems at all. I'm real happy with.
You might put just a tiny drop of CA there so it can't pop off again. Just don't get any on the bearing.

I know EXACTLY what youre talking about. That happened on my CP on the 1st tail motor.
I used a bit of epoxy and applied it with a toothpick. It lasted for a few flights but popped off again. The best cure is replacing the motor. I know that cure sux but thats what I eventually did. That small collar would pop out while I was hovering which in turn stops the rear prop from turning. And down she goes. Luckily the motors are only 10 bucks.
I think its a freak thing that happens every so often with those motors cuz counting the dual motors im running now Im on my 5th motor and its only happened that once

I've had the same thing happen to me recently. It was ok for a while but not anymore so my Blade is currently grounded until the mailman arrives with my new tail motor and some plastic blades

This is a very common problem. I always solder the bushing to the can before installing the tail motors now. JB Weld also works from what I hear...

Im wondering about how solder works on it too. Just make sure you use flux even if the wire you use is flux cored. Itll help bond to the can. Let us know how it works out

seemed to work just fine except that i could not find my pencil tip iron and so here i am trying to solder with this big assed soldering gun...kinda like trying to pick your nose with a big toe(sorry for the comparison) but it was the best i could come up with...probably looked like a moron with this big iron and this little area to solder...anyway did seem to work but i did get a little solder on the pinion gear so the tail motor would not respond properly. tomorrow i will take it to work(maybe) and try to re-solder it there ,got a much nicer iron there than i do. on a brighter note my plastic blades should be here in a day or two ...my wife asked that i not fly on our hardood floors

Shes a wise woman lol
Im in the process of repair tonight. Plastic blades really shatter a boom with a bad strike.
Of course Id rather replace a $4 boom than a $20 pair of balsa blades
