Default Looking for 'Transmitter for Dummies' thread

Subject says it.. newbie to both my planes and heli. I've read that only a futbaba or hitech will work with a Pro. I'm using stock TX now. Would like to learn about programmable TX/RX setup. Have read a lot on this subject but don't have a clue what the heck u guys are talkin' about ! Looking for a simple setup explaination. I have 2 planes and a Pro and would like to stick with one TX. Does the TX manual explain the proper settings? Thanks in advance and you guys have been really helpful. Great info for a great hobby!

The manuals should explain everything required, if too confusing there are normally ppl here who are willing to share their settings that can get you pretty close to dialed in. Just make sure that your tx has ccpm if your going to be flying a CP.

Futaba and Hitec transmitters will control the CPs... Look for the versions with CCPM programming. The Fut 7HC and Hi Optic 6 have it. And the Spektrum DX-6.
