I have tried to hover my Blade CP, but seem to be running into some problems. I had to replace the chip on the 4-in-1 tail rotor and replaced the blades to symetrical. Has anyone been able to get a CP to hover with these blades and standard power setup? I have tried 4 different Ni-MH packs, 2 Li-po's, and even changed the motor to a 9 tooth. The main rotor just looses speed and won't lift off the ground. Also tried to unplug the tail to see it it would spool up any higher, nope. It will hover with Li-po's but not for very long (about 30 seconds on a 1300 mA pack). I even tried another 4-in-1 and it did the exact same thing. I have changed pitch 1/2 turn at a time to see if it got any better or worse, but it dosen't really change much. Any ideas?
Thanks

I run 10t pinion on my blade cp, I have used stock motor and stock tail motor and stock 4:1 etc, with sim blades all summer. You have to make sure your blades are in good shape, these helis don't have the extra power to work with less then perfect airflow.
Very important, are you slideing your idle adjustment up before flying. Again these need all the power you can get, conect your battery, wait for the green light then adjust the idle up until your tail starts to spin then back it off a click or two.
I don't mean to sound condensending, you may be more experienced then me and have tried all these, you didn't say if you are newbie or old pro with other helis.

If you cant hover with the lipo then there has to be a problem. Most likely is the pitch of the blades is to low. Try increasing the pitch and see if it will lift off. If you have the correct pitch and it still doesnt lift off then your motor might be shot. You can easily pick up a motor at a lhs or online for 10-15 bucks. If the motor is still good and it still doesnt lift off then the lipo is no good. If you bought it from overseas the quality goes way down and theyve been know to lie about the specs of there lipos. Those are really the only things that could keep it from lifting off the ground. Check those 3 areas and see if that helps. I might be missing something but those are the major areas and if its not those then I would need to see the heli to figure out the problem. Hope this helps!

My vote is your pitch is off, check the instruction manual on how to check this. Basically unplug the main motor and make sure there is a 10 degree change in the blades from low to high throttle. Any less and you will have problems taking off. Like nitroguy said, then check the motor, and I see you have tried different batteries. I have a blade cp and a cp pro and they ran well on the stock setups for awhile. Damn 4 in 1 went though.
