You can set it up correctly mechanically before you try to fly it.
There is a BCPP setup thread, bdavision will tell you how to do it.

Before setting the pitch links try increasing the collective pitch by turning all three servo link rods IN by 2 _full_ turns.

If you don't have a pitch gauge I would recommend getting one. They are cheap and it makes it easier to set up the heli.

Unplug your motors, select idle-up, center the left stick, look at the helicopter from the side. The blade should be at zero pitch. This is easy to see without a pitch gauge. Compare the blade to the flybar with the flybar held level. Adjust all three servo link rods equally by _full_ turns to raise or lower the collective pitch at this point so you have zero pitch at half-collective in idle-up. Full turns because the ball links are one-way.
Unless your upper pitch links are really screwed up this will give you the approximately correct amount of pitch in normal mode.
Or you can buy a pitch gauge.

I am having the same problem I was flying really good until the wind caught it and took it up up up and away from me it went pretty far away and then I could not see which way it was going, and well it went down hard.
I had to replace everything up top and the main shaft, now it will not lift off the only way is if I put the adjustment lever for the throttle all the way up then it will just lift off about a foot and is not right.
What do you suggest I do
