Hi their to all blade cp owners. I heard that you have to replace the tail motor after about every 20 flight or battery packs. Is this really necessary? Thanks

Mine became erratic, I compensated with the gain and proportional...it lost the ability maintain power to hold the tail at all when I declared it dead. Some of the things I've found:
* try not to slap the tail on the ground while hovering (can't be good for it and you can hear your tail rotor blades slapping).
* don't overspeed the tail motor and make jerky corrections to the tail (smooth and even on the stick).
* try not to drop the heli out of the air quickly (hitting the heli hard on the ground). Make as smooth of a decent as possible.
If you're still in the learning stage, you'll have to do some of the above just to avoid wrecking the unit. I had to buy one new tail motor, and I'll have to buy another...it's a given.
